Before & After.

We had the unique opportunity to renovate a historic space downtown Summerville. The original house was built around 1887 and just prior to our involvement had been a salon. We liked the end result so much we claimed it as our office space.

Updated Charm.

Swaddled by gorgeous, sweeping live oak trees, the little cottage on the corner of E 1st North Street and North Gum Street sat waiting. We’d like to think it was waiting for us, but in reality it had been a successful business for over two decades before we arrived. Still, the interior and exterior needed some care and attention.

Painting…

Color truly changes things. The decision to repaint the exterior siding, windows, the front door, and yes, the chimney were all weighed carefully. Since Hale Development’s company colors are Deep Blue and Gold, we decided on Sherwin-Williams Windy Blue for the siding, Sherwin-Williams Denim for the shutters and chimneys, with Sherwin-Williams Goldenrod as the front door. Normally, we love natural brick and would have left the chimneys as they were, but previous painters had already marked the stacks with white here and there, so we opted for a full facelift.

Lowcountry Local.

An amazingly talented friend captured images of our beautiful lowcountry and blessed our office with giant prints of his non-digital work. Custom frames from another gifted friend set the scene. We love that this is the image which greets our clients and staff each morning.
